We'd like to welcome Kinsey Marina at Birch Lake in Minnesota to our Houseboating.org family!
Birch Lake, near the town of Babbitt, is tucked away in the unspoiled allure of the Superior National Forest, offering miles upon miles of lush, green forested shoreline. About 100 miles of picturesque shoreline, islands and remote bays perfect for setting up camp with your houseboat; a little piece of the lake to call your very own for the week.
The houseboats can accommodate up to 8 people, perfect for that intimate family getaway you keep meaning to take. There's nothing like a houseboat vacation to reconnect with loved ones while amongst some of the most spectacular natural beauty in the country. The best part about a houseboat vacation is that you can tailor it to the desires and needs of you and your group.
Cast a line off the shoreline or the back patio of your houseboat; fishing's great here! Known for trophy Walleye, but there are also Northern Pike, Crappie, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Bluegill and Perch in the area.
Paddle a canoe or a kayak up the Kawishiwi River into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (paddle-only waters) on the northeastern part of the lake. And keep your eyes peeled on the shoreline, as you may see loons, eagles, deer, and even the occasional bear.
Take a small boat along for a well rounded experience; explore the lake, discover a new fishing spot, or take it out for an adventure on water skis or a tube!
Birch Lake is a small lake that packs a big punch. Whether you visit for the fishing, the scenery or just to hang out and sunbathe on the top deck, there's something for everyone on these waters.
